Rebuilding Curran Hospital in Liberia

Liberia has been ravaged by civil war many times. The Lutheran Church in Liberia is a sister synod to the Upper Susquehanna Synod here in Central PA. The rebuilding and peace making efforts there have been an inspiration. This video shows the amazing transformation from a war destroyed shell, to a once-again working hospital.

World Hunger Appeal 2009 - The Tour De Revs

A push to increase our church's $20 million annual funding of World Hunger ministries to a goal of $25 million, the Tour De Revs was a public awareness raiser that crossed the country. Three pastors on a bamboo bicycle rode many many miles. They came through our synod in the summer of 2009. 

Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village - A Diakon Ministry

Diakon Social Services covers many states, providing many human services including family counseling, a youth rehabilitation camp, adoption services, as well as many nursing homes. Two are on the territory of the Upper Susquehanna Synod: Ohesson Manor and Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village.
