Lenten Services

During the season of Lent, we have Wednesday night services at 7pm, following a fellowship meal at 6pm. This year's theme of Lent is "the marks of the Christian" as outlined by St. Paul in his letter to the Romans, Chapter 12. We will be meeting at St John Richfield on February 24. March 10 and March 24. We will meet at our sister church, St Johns Lutheran in Mount Pleasant Mills on March 3, 17, and 31.

Maundy Thursday service is April 1 at 7pm, at St. John Richfield.

Good Friday service is held at 7:30 pm, April 2.

Sunrise Easter service is 6am at the Richfield United Methodist Church.

Our Easter service is the normal time of 10:30 AM.

A Community Centered in Worship

We are a congregation gathered around the Word of God, and the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.

Each week, our Sunday worship is a gathering for the singing of hymns to God, the reading of several passages from the Old and New Testaments, and hearing the Word preached.

We celebrate Holy Communion each week. We believe in the real presence of Jesus Christ in his body and blood. We welcome baptized Christians of all denominations to commune with us.

As we confess in the Creeds of the Church, "we believe in one baptism." Those baptized in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit are baptized Christians, not divided by names like Lutheran, Baptist, Catholic.

Children are participants in worship in our congregation. There is a children's sermon each week. Both adults and children serve in worship assistance roles. Quiet babies and noisy babies are invited too!

Sermons by Pastor Weaver, and anthems by our childrens choir, and adult choir, can be found at the links to the left.
